One day, a friend invited me to visit West Lake. I happily agreed. Upon arriving in Hangzhou, the weather was clear and bright, and the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains filled my view. I sailed on the lake, listening to fishermen's songs echoing back and forth, watching egrets flying gracefully, and felt my spirit uplifted. Suddenly, I saw a small island in the distance, shaped like a fairyland mountain, so I asked the boatman to row us toward it. The island was lush with trees, fragrant with flowers, and full of birdsong, resembling an earthly paradise. I walked around, picked up a stone as a souvenir, and returned at dusk when the afterglow of the sunset bathed everything in its light. I was very happy that day, and thus wrote this record to commemorate it.
